Nozzle cleaning refers to those types of work that must be done only in case of emergency, that is, according to the principle "do not touch famously while it is quiet." This is not surprising, given the fact that the ramp in which the nozzles are located and, in principle, the nozzles themselves, can be called the heart of an automobile engine. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the nozzles only as a last resort, for example, with the appearance of problems with starting the engine, tripping or a sharp drop in power.
There are plenty of various additives on the automotive chemical market that are added to the fuel in order to clean the injector, but they are not always able to cope with the task assigned to them or do not perform it very well. Often, cleaning additives in fuel can cause irreparable harm to the engine, due to the fact that sagging dirt and other deposits can create a blockage that prevents the normal passage of the fuel-air mixture or completely blocks fuel access. In this article, I will talk about how do-it-yourself nozzle cleaning on the example of VAZ 2110.
Cleaning nozzles VAZ 2110 - removing the ramp
Attention is important! In order to remove the ramp on the VAZ 2110, you must wait until the engine has cooled down.
1. First of all, it is necessary to de-energize the fuel pump, to do this, disconnect the wires from it.
2. Then start the engine and let it run until it stalls. This should be done until the engine stops starting, in other words, your task is to remove pressure from the fuel supply system.
3. Now you can remove the ramp.
4. First of all, de-energize the ramp, to do this, turn off its power - the general wiring is located from the passenger compartment.
5. Unscrew the fuel hoses, as well as all the electrics connected to the fuel rail: idle air control (IAC), throttle position sensor, pressure regulator.
6. Unscrew the two bolts that secure the fuel rail with a hexagon.
7. Now you can actually remove the fuel rail itself. This is done in an upward direction, however, without improvised devices, this is sometimes quite difficult to do, since the fuel rail sits quite tightly. Shoot the ramp strictly parallel to the ground, as any skew will only complicate your task.
How to clean nozzles VAZ 2110
1. Nozzle cleaning carried out on a clean surface, you can even cover the work surface with a piece of clean cloth.

3. Everything is connected in series: a light bulb, a nozzle, a switch, when the miracle system is assembled, you can safely start cleaning the nozzles.

Using a simple plastic clamp, secure the hose to the inlet of the nozzle, its length should be approximately 20-30 cm. as the jet spray pattern changes, it can expand or, conversely, narrow, this largely depends on the degree of contamination. After the jet has stopped changing, you can stop cleaning the nozzle.
The quality of fuel in our country, to put it mildly, is "not very important", therefore sometimes it becomes a regularly held event, which should be carried out at least every 30-40 thousand runs. Given this, I recommend to become more skilled in this matter. self cleaning nozzles will save a lot of money, as well as extend the life of your injector and the entire engine as a whole. In addition, you will be 100% sure that the nozzles were cleaned for real, and not “somehow” or just in words, because you will do it yourself, therefore there will simply be no one to cheat you.
